I was underpaid and I know other female employees who got underpaid compared to their male colleagues who are putting the same number of hours and doing the same amount of work and sometimes more. And Indians are already underpaid in most jobs in different parts of the world so NO! I will not agree to a pay drop and degrade myself even more. I think we should rather ask companies to change their hiring policies and pay well to those who deserve.Rikahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03985152186939344611noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4740849900073154554.post-49060552542029395382014-10-20T21:11:50.738+05:302014-10-20T21:11:50.738+05:30@Deepa - Well, considering tha my posts have becom...@Deepa - Well, considering tha my posts have become so infrequent these days, I can hardly "take a break". The system needs to be honest and fair for everyone irrespective of the gender, orientation, race or any other demographic.

Coming back to the larger part which you addressed in the post, the fact remains goods and services for most part are becoming cheaper and more affordable. The salaries on the other hand are getting higher, irrespective there is going to be a point where the organization becomes nonviable and shuts shop. The only other model I see working is what companies like Apple are doing today, launch a new model, new variation with raised prices to ensure the price factor of the product also rises. Its the vast unorganised sector that suffers. They deserve a far better deal. The organised labout suffers from the same problem as managers and executives. They keep on increasing the salaries until they become uncompetitive and the factory shuts. Remember how Datta Samant killed the manufacturing sector in Maharashtra

@Ravi - AmenRameshhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11782192840421019943noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4740849900073154554.post-73484135422215179232014-10-13T06:49:44.000+05:302014-10-13T06:49:44.000+05:30Welcome back my dear friend!

When number of high paid executives multiply to the crowd of competition there will be forcefull paydown or recession. Its better to stay at reasonable pay.
