The Apple of my eye

Today's post is a guest post I made in Preeti's blog. Preeti is a famous blogger, writer of two books, artist and a very nice and warm person. She was very kind to invite me to write a piece in her blog and who can resist the ask of a pretty and intelligent lady !

The post is here.

That is nice, Ramesh! Two sunday posts this week. Great. Now I know your love of the "pretty and beautiful things"

Ya... two sunday posts - both superb...

your humor quotient is phenomenal. but you know what, when i read the first para, i could guess where you were driving at and hence directly went to the last line... so idiot me, missed all the suspense and fun of living the magic of your beautiful post unravel :-(

but still it was really worth it. smiling from ear to ear now. what a refreshing post after a serious day at work.

well, on the "uncle" bit, its already hit me big time. all kids call me aunty by default. i really dont mind the ones of samarth's age but even the much elder ones :-(

one very selfish suggestion - maybe, you can start a wednesday category called humour.... will be a great midweek refresh for us to sustain till the weekend - what say friends!!

What an apt and smart title too...!!

@ Sandhya - That will be icing on the cake... I second your suggestion.

Ramesh - Please! :)

Appu said...

@gils no they are not squares! they are always curved at the edges. it is one of their speciality!
@Boss, Absolutely chanceless. You are Da One. At least i should have guessed, when you describe the conversation part. fr a moment i was wondering, wow wat a female, who could understand men intuitevely and keep quiet ;)

Ramesh uncle, you are classic, loved your creativity at every bit.

And all the time I thought my object of affection was a sexy guy, who was as caring as his killer looks and had my hands wrapped around him all the time! :)

By the way, have you ever considered the fact that girls drool over older men, especially someone as clever as you, and that irresistible sense of humour! ;) ;)

@Vishal - Too many Sundays ! Someday I must get to work !!

@Sandhya - Thanks milady. I thought you ran the opposite problem - handsome hulks asking which school are you studying in !!

@Striver - Going pink with all that kind praise from you !

@gils - Ah; Now we know the true object of gils' affection

@zeno - I thought I would get kicked about the dig on remaining silent, but all the girls are very sporting and the spared me !

Ramesh said...

@Venkat - Touche ! Only pretty young things are supposed to call me uncle !!

@Deepa - Touche !! Now I can go around all day with a silly smile on my face ....

@Caterpillar - Thanks very much for coming and your comment. Leaving a comment on your post

Ramesh said...

@Preeti - It was my pleasure entirely. Honoured that you asked and very thankful for incredibly warm and kind words.

Thought it was a car until i came to the 'sing' part. Guess even the title was leading - but i missed it! But a very nice post indeed!

Do you still believe, you will only be called 'uncle'.Ambuli calls you 'Thatha'.And i suggest you go by sandhya's request of wednesday humor,so much more to come.Lovely read indeed, but i was sure it wasn't about any real women.

Count me among the burned! That provided a good felt laugh. The whole time I am thinking, 'what a huge gamble he is taking here', like those guys who propose in front of a full stadium at a sporting event. Well played sir.

It reminded me of Jerome K Jerome. Top quality humour.

Ramesh said...

@Ravi - To be even mentioned in the same sentence as Jerome K Jerome - I have fainted.
