I think at least at 41 i did recognize you :)

In the first one- 2nd row from the top and 2nd from left?? :)

No prizes for tracing you in the second pic I guess.

The two pics- quite a treasure you have there!

Rika said...

I'm weak at guessing but I'm doing it anyways...I think you're in the last row in both the pics, assuming you're tall.

Shachi said...

What a wonderful memory! Now only if I can identify you in either picture :)!

And yes, please do a post on how it went....

TMM said...

wow. trying to guess your place in the sepia print - top row third from left???

@AJCL - Thanks so much for commenting.

@Asha - Yes we did all sorts of things, but I don't have words to write a description - best left unsaid as an experience of a lifetime

@Vishal - Yes I sang the song too as did all of us !!!

@zeno - In Neyveli. Oh yes we had funny hairstyles those days.

@Anon - Oh God - "paal vadium mugam" ???? - Nos sure whether to blush or be embarassed :)

@Venkat - Oh yes - girls were in a majority even then. Nice idea of a title - from black & white to colour :)

@Deepa - Separate comment below on which one I am in the two photos. You know me more recently - so easily identifiable for you !

@Rads - Wow - you haven't seen me and yet pretty close !! See separate comment

@Shachi - Best left unwritten Shachi. An experience of a lifetime, it truly was.

@Kiwi - No; see separate comment

For some posts, picture should speak louder than the words. And to me these two pictures speak volumes about the nostalgic moments you could have experienced on that day. Also some of the comments after this post is very good reflecting the mood that everyone would like to experience this moment at one stage of their life.

but this post is platinum studded with diamonds

three cheers to the enthusiasm of the team to find this platinum moment for all of you.

thanks to you for sharing this with us. indeed very motivating :-)

Ramesh said...

@Connecter - Thanks very much. Yes, no words is better

@Sandhya - Thanks so much. It was a very special moment for all of us.

Wow..i've seen milkyway galaxy pics with all its starry glory taken from hubble in many a science book..but these two star studded ones would sure give those pics a run for their money

Hema said...

Wow...thats so sweet! Must have been a wonderful experience and nostalgic. Its great so many of you could make it to the reunion.

Hey, I guessed you as the 4th from right on the second row. May be becoz of the glasses...
Are you sure you are the third ? :):)

Ramesh said...

@Gils - Much honoured.

@Hema - It was incredibly nosalgic. Glasses were a comparitively recent addition as years of reading and computer working took their toll.

Donk! Wonder how I missed the post and the pics.
No words...
You made me slip to sepia tinted nostalgia.
I keep wondering everytime I go to Coimbatore whether to drop by at my old school(s). The teachers that I knew are long retired.

Ramesh said...

@RamMmm - The charm was both going to the school and meeting the old mates. You should do it if you can.

Gowrisankar said...

Hi Ramesh

Can you please help spot Ambika in both the school and reunion photos

Gowrisankar(gowri)

Ramesh said...

@Gowri - She's missing from the original school photograph - she didn't come to class on the day the photo was taken.

In the reunion she's the second lady standing from the left (just behind Manickam)
